Mr. Tom Lockman opened Bethke Elementary in 2008 with me. He was one of the first people I hired and the best custodian we could have ever hoped for. Through the years he has managed, organized, and maintained a brand new building and its grounds while supporting dozens of teachers, hundreds of students, thousands of parents. We have countless memories of how he has touched our hearts and impacted our children. We cannot thank him enough for all he has done for us and our school. His last day is this Friday, September 30. He will be missed, but always remembered. From now on our cafeteria has been named the Tom Lockman Cafeteria. Happy Trails Mr. Lockman! Come back and visit!
Thank you to everyone who came out and supported Bethke on Friday at our biggest golf tournament ever! It was a beautiful sunny day and our golfers were awesome! A huge thank you to our sponsors of the event: Freddy's, Martin/Martin, Advanced Energy, Siena Floors, Toll Bros, Family and Cosmetic Dentistry of the Rockies, C & W Transportation, HurrVasa Landscape, Smile Brands, Black Bottle, Real Property Management, Chimney Park, King Engineering, PGS Insurance Group, Les Schwab, 5280 Staffing, Front Range Dental, and Jon Holsten, realor, who donated his four spots to Bethke teachers. A special thank you to our volunteers for all of the efforts in putting on such a fantastic event. Funds raised will be voted on by the PTO as to how to spend. Looking ahead to our future growth and expansion into another cottage, I will be proposing the money be spent on new desks, tables, and chairs for future students!
What a beautiful day to celebrate wellness! We started with an all school kickboxing lesson followed by an all school walk/jog. Kids explored new activities that support wellness thanks to our community connections: Golden Girls Baton,
Cindy and Fred Mitchel- Martial arts
Mike Riley – Cricket
FRHS Boys Basketball
PSD food services
Reid Belstock – Diabolo
I Love Kickboxing – Dede and Justin
We ended the day by running a 1K! Way to stay healthy and fit Bobcats!
Thank you for your support of the Bethke Pledge. Almost $15,000 has been pledged of our $21,500 goal to fully fund all projects at Bethke this year. Those funds have already purchased supplies for all classrooms, 375 planners for grades 3-5 (so parents don't have to buy them), and down payments on upcoming field trips. These dollars fund $1400 toward field trips for each grade level for unique learning opportunities. Thanks for getting your pledge in and supporting all bobcats at Bethke!
